playing the beta of Turbine's new Lord of the Rings free to play game.
This is going to be a BIG win for MMO gamers. The game is great and,
well, free.
Also, look
for more on the next FOB Radio, but Singularity is an awesome game. Been
playing on the PC, but you can get it on just about any platform.
Lastly, I
just thought that this was a funny picture, so I stole it from another

Did some
web and RSS clean up today. Shows before #255 are no longer in the
archive or available on iTunes. The site (shows) continue to be very
popular and the 1.5GB per day bandwidth is requiring me to keep a
sharper eye on the otherwise crappy back end that drives this whole
thing. Thanks to all who listen. Don't worry though, I expect all the
shows from 2010 to stay on the server well into 2011. It was just time
to get rid of some the 2008 stuff.

So I made
the "mistake" of getting into Star Trek Online. I am really enjoying
this game. My first ship, the USS Bridges (seen below) is one awesome

My PC
upgrade and a show about nothing. Enjoy!

So the
time has come to upgrade the old PC. The days of PC upgrading every 12
months have been over for some time, but some of the new DX10/11 only
games (Just Cause 2), will finally put the old AthlonX2 5600+ and Nvidia
8600GTS to rest. On the way.... a new Phenom II processor and the really
good Radeon 5770 (w/ DX 11). I am also moving up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM and
a nice new Motherboard with USB 3.0 support. With consoles dominating
game sales, the PC has been forced to slow down, so not upgrading as
often has been nice. However, it is always sweet to know new parts are
on the way :).
